CNC Laser Cutting

A P Engineers employs some of the most advanced CNC Laser Cutting machinery to cut through sheet metal. Aided by a sophisticated programming system, high precision cutting in the metal sheets is assured. Our laser cutting service offers the following advantages:

Advantages:

  • Suitable for Stainless Steel (up to 10mm), Aluminium (up to 6mm), Mild Steel (up to 16mm), etc.
  • Consistent, intricate and accurate shapes
  • Finished Product - no additional machining needed
  • Fast and inexpensive prototyping due to little or no hard tooling
  • Rapid design changes possible
  • Laser beams, as small as .003", produce intricate detail and sharp edges
  • Increased per part savings due to low fixture costs, high feed rates etc.
  • Increased saving due to more efficient utilization of materials
  • Improved yield, more parts per sheet with less scrap
  • Reduced expense and increased efficiency producing prototypes, small runs, and Large runs since there is no tooling involved
  • Improved accuracy, consistency, control, and flexibility
  • Increased speed and higher cutter throughput in most circumstances
  • Multiple jobs combined and cut in a single batch

Sheet Metal Fabrication

Sheet metal fabrication is a classification of manufacturing processes that shape a piece of sheet metal into the desired part through material removal and/or material deformation. Sheet metal, which acts as the workpiece in these processes, is one of the most common forms of raw material stock. The material thickness that classifies a workpiece as sheet metal is not clearly defined. However, sheet metal is generally considered to be a piece of stock between 0.006 and 0.25 inches thick. A piece of metal much thinner is considered to be "foil" and any thicker is referred to as a "plate". The thickness of a piece of sheet metal is often referred to as its gauge, a number typically ranging from 3 to 38. A higher gauge indicates a thinner piece of sheet metal, with exact dimensions that depend on the material.

Sheet metal can be cut, bent, and stretched into a nearly any shape. Material removal processes can create holes and cutouts in any 2D geometric shape. Deformation processes can bend the sheet numerous times to different angles or stretch the sheet to create complex contours. The size of sheet metal parts can range from a small washer or bracket, to midsize enclosures for home appliances, to large airplane wings. These parts are found in a variety of industries, such as aircraft, automotive, construction, consumer products, HVAC, and furniture.

Light Fabrication Work

Our specialist services include fabrication of light to medium steel structures, sheet metal work, welding and pipe work. We supply precision engineered parts to a wide range of industries including defence, oil industry, medical, food and drink industry and many more.

We are specialized in stainless steel fabrications & structural fabrication for general industries. Our work team comprises of skilled and experience workers for all types of stainless steel fabrication work & structural fabrication work

We also have the facility for cutting and folding all sheet steel and light plate supplied by us, this can be cut to size in our computerised Guillotine, and where required folded in our HNC Flanger, Both of these machines can cope with a variety of material up to 3metres long by 6mm thick. And 2.8meters long by 6mm thick respectively.
